Post Tracking
Monitor creator content and track campaign deliverables
Post Tracking
Post tracking lets you monitor creator content across platforms, verify that deliverables have been posted, and collect performance metrics in real time. It's the foundation for campaign reporting and powers performance-based payouts in CreatorPay.

What post tracking does
When you run influencer campaigns, you need to know three things: did the creator actually post, how is the content performing, and what's the aggregate impact across the campaign. Post tracking answers all three.
- Deliverable verification -- Confirm that creators posted the agreed content on time
- Metric collection -- Automatically pull views, likes, comments, shares, and more
- Link tracking -- Monitor clicks on tracked URLs and attribute conversions
- Content archival -- Save post content and metadata in case posts are edited or deleted
- Performance alerts -- Get notified when posts hit milestones or underperform
Supported platforms
Stormy tracks posts on the following platforms:
| Platform | Content types | Metrics available |
|---|---|---|
| Posts, Reels, Stories, Carousels | Views, likes, comments, shares, saves, reach, impressions | |
| TikTok | Videos | Views, likes, comments, shares, saves, watch time |
| YouTube | Videos, Shorts | Views, likes, comments, watch time, click-through rate |
| Twitter/X | Tweets, threads | Impressions, likes, replies, retweets, quote tweets, link clicks |
| Posts, articles | Impressions, likes, comments, shares, click-through rate | |
| Posts, Reels, Stories | Reach, impressions, likes, comments, shares |
Metric availability depends on the creator's account type and platform API access. Business and creator accounts provide more detailed metrics than personal accounts. Some metrics (like Stories views) are only available for a limited time window set by the platform.
What metrics are tracked
Engagement metrics
- Views / Impressions -- How many times the content was seen
- Likes -- Total likes or reactions
- Comments -- Total comments (excluding bot/spam where detectable)
- Shares -- Times the content was shared or reposted
- Saves -- Times the content was saved/bookmarked
- Engagement rate -- Calculated as (likes + comments + shares) / reach
Performance metrics
- Link clicks -- Clicks on tracked URLs in bio, captions, or Stories
- Click-through rate -- Link clicks / impressions
- Watch time -- Average and total watch time (video content)
- Completion rate -- Percentage of viewers who watched to the end (video)
Attribution metrics
When using Stormy's tracked links:
- Conversions -- Completed actions (purchases, signups, downloads)
- Revenue -- Attributed revenue from tracked link purchases
- Cost per acquisition -- Total creator cost / conversions
- Return on spend -- Revenue / total creator cost
Verification
Post tracking includes content verification to confirm deliverables have been met:
Automatic checks
Stormy automatically verifies:
- Post existence -- The content is live on the specified platform
- Timing -- The content was posted within the agreed timeframe
- Link presence -- Required tracked links are included
- Hashtags -- Required hashtags or mentions are present
- Content type -- The format matches the deliverable (Reel vs. static post, etc.)
Manual review
Some things require human judgment:
- Content quality -- Does the content match the brief?
- Talking points -- Were key messages included?
- Brand safety -- Is the surrounding content appropriate?
You can mark deliverables as verified or flag issues directly from the tracking dashboard.

Set up verification requirements when creating the campaign. When automatic checks pass, you'll only need to manually review content quality rather than checking every small detail.
Getting started
- Connect platforms -- Ensure the relevant platform integrations are active under Settings > Integrations
- Add posts to track -- See the Monitoring guide for how to add posts manually or automatically
- Set up campaign dashboards -- See Campaign Dashboards for aggregated reporting
- Link to payments -- Connect post tracking to CreatorPay for performance-based compensation
Post tracking begins when a post is added to monitoring. Historical metrics from before tracking started are not retroactively collected on all platforms. Add posts to tracking as soon as they go live for the most complete data.
