Let AI draft and send responses to creator messages

AI Responses

One of the most powerful features of the AI Inbox is automatic response drafting. When a creator sends a message, Stormy's AI reads the conversation context, understands the intent, and writes a response draft that you can review, edit, and send — or let the AI send automatically based on your configured rules.

How AI Drafts Work

Every time a new message arrives in your inbox, the AI evaluates:

  1. Conversation history — The full thread of messages between you and this creator
  2. Creator profile — Their platform, follower count, engagement rate, niche, and past deal history
  3. Campaign context — The campaign brief, target deliverables, budget range, and brand guidelines
  4. Current negotiation stage — Where this conversation sits in the deal lifecycle
  5. Your past responses — Patterns from how you've responded to similar messages before

Based on all of this, the AI generates a draft that appears at the bottom of the conversation thread, clearly marked as an AI draft.

Note

AI drafts are never sent automatically by default. You must explicitly enable auto-send for specific conversation stages if you want hands-free responses. See the Auto-Send vs. Manual Approval section below.

Reviewing and Editing Drafts

When you open a conversation with an AI draft, you'll see the draft in the reply composer with options to:

  • Send as-is — Click Send to deliver the draft exactly as written
  • Edit — Click into the draft text to modify any part of it. The AI provides a starting point, you fine-tune the details
  • Regenerate — Click the regenerate button to have the AI write a completely new draft with a different approach
  • Discard — Remove the draft and write your own response from scratch

Editing Tips

When editing an AI draft, you might want to:

  • Adjust specific numbers (rates, timelines, deliverable counts)
  • Add personal touches or inside references from past interactions
  • Remove or rephrase sections that don't match your voice
  • Add details the AI didn't have context for
Tip

The more you edit AI drafts, the better the AI learns your preferences. If you consistently change a certain phrase or adjust rate ranges, the AI will incorporate those patterns into future drafts.

Auto-Send vs. Manual Approval

You can configure which types of messages the AI sends automatically and which require your review.

Manual Approval (Default)

All AI drafts wait for your explicit approval before sending. This is the safest mode and recommended when you're getting started. You review every draft and decide whether to send, edit, or discard it.

Auto-Send Rules

For high-volume campaigns where you trust the AI's judgment, you can enable auto-send for specific scenarios:

Scenario Example Risk Level
Initial outreach follow-ups "Just following up on my previous email..." Low
Scheduling confirmations "Great, Tuesday at 2pm works for me." Low
Simple acknowledgments "Thanks for sending that over!" Low
Rate negotiations "We can offer $X for Y deliverables..." High
Contract discussions "Here are the updated terms..." High
Payment conversations "Payment has been processed..." High
Warning

Be cautious with auto-send on financial and contractual conversations. A misunderstood message or incorrect rate could create problems. Start with auto-send only on low-risk message types and expand as you build confidence in the AI's accuracy.

Configuring Auto-Send

  1. Go to Inbox Settings > AI Responses
  2. Toggle Auto-Send on
  3. Select which conversation stages allow auto-send
  4. Set a daily auto-send limit to cap the number of messages AI sends without approval
  5. Optionally set dollar thresholds — any message involving amounts above your threshold requires manual approval

Tone Settings

Control how the AI writes by configuring your preferred tone. This affects word choice, formality, and overall communication style across all AI drafts.

Tone Options

  • Professional — Formal business communication. Clear, concise, respectful. Best for enterprise brands.
  • Friendly — Warm and approachable while still professional. Good default for most brands.
  • Casual — Relaxed and conversational. Works well for lifestyle, gaming, and youth-oriented brands.
  • Custom — Write your own tone description. For example: "Sound like a cool startup founder who uses casual language but is very precise about business terms."

Setting Your Tone

  1. Go to Inbox Settings > AI Responses > Tone
  2. Select a preset or choose Custom
  3. If custom, write a description of your preferred communication style
  4. Click Save
Tip

You can provide example messages when setting a custom tone. Paste 2-3 real messages you've sent to creators that represent your ideal voice, and the AI will match that style.

Context Awareness

The AI doesn't just write generic responses — it's deeply aware of the conversation context.

What the AI Knows

  • Creator's ask — If they requested a specific rate, the AI knows your campaign budget and can respond appropriately
  • Deal history — If you've worked with this creator before, the AI references past rates and deliverables
  • Campaign brief — The AI incorporates your brand guidelines, target audience, and messaging requirements
  • Timing — The AI knows how long since the last message and adjusts tone accordingly (e.g., a gentle nudge after a week of silence vs. an immediate reply)
  • Other conversations — If you're negotiating with multiple creators for the same campaign, the AI maintains consistency in offered rates

Context Injection

You can manually add context that the AI should factor into its drafts:

  • Conversation notes — Add notes to any conversation that the AI will consider when drafting
  • Campaign updates — Changes to budget, timeline, or deliverables automatically flow into AI drafts
  • Creator tags — Tag creators with attributes like "high priority" or "returning partner" to influence AI behavior

Response Analytics

Track how the AI is performing with response analytics:

  • Draft acceptance rate — How often you send AI drafts without editing
  • Average edit distance — How much you typically change AI drafts
  • Response time — How quickly conversations get responses (AI-assisted vs. manual)
  • Creator response rate — How often creators reply to AI-drafted messages vs. your manual ones

Note

Analytics require at least 2 weeks of usage data to generate meaningful insights. The more you use AI responses, the more accurate these metrics become.
