Hi! We are a family of 5 living our dream of traveling the world together in our old Kombi and Caravan. We have a passion for fire cooking and thoroughly enjoy exploring new places, taking the slower road is what we are all about. Currently in our fourth country adventuring around Hawaii. We are Lockie and Ash, two Aussies who having been travelling Europe in our self built homes (we've had and built 2 over the years). We moved to Europe in August 2019, where we bought, registered and converted our first campervan in a foreign country. We spent 3.5 years travelling and exploring different countries around Europe, experiencing new cultures and just living life to the absolute fullest! In December 2022, we were hit by oncoming traffic riding off our first camper so we moved home to Australia to sort out the insurance claim. In August 2023, we moved back to Europe and built our second camper van to continue our travels abroad! We travel with our 3 children in a camper van that we call Womi-Omi: a self-converted four-wheel drive truck that was once a fire engine (Magirus Deutz 170D11, similar to Iveco 90-16). We spent a year traveling through Europe, as far as Tunisia, the Sahara and eastern Turkey. And now we have planned another long-term trip to follow our big dream. And although the last trip was only 2 years ago, we are setting off again to many great destinations in our four-wheel drive truck. We are shipping to South America! It doesn't matter whether you call it parental leave, sabbatical, time off or parental leave trip - we take the time for our children - on the road in the camper, even for the very little things in life. We are a family that takes time for small and large detours in life! It's great to have you with us, both in the everyday life of camper life and on our really big adventures!
