Black Sea Dahu are Janine Cathrein and a tight-knit gang of musical cohorts, based in Switzerland. From their early days as JOSH, with The Kids of the Sun (2012) and Kingdom North (2014), to their ocean-deep breakout debut White Creatures (2018), they’ve refused to color inside the lines. With the haunting No Fire in the Sand EP (2019), the widescreen I Am My Mother (2022), the follow up Orbit EP and their first live album Live in Zürich and Bern (2024), this Swiss outfit has carved a niche for themselves beyond genre. They’ve played numerous stages across Europe and were invited to Reeperbahn (2018/2022), The Great Escape (2019), m4music (2019), MaMA (2019), Eurosonic (2020), and Montreux Jazz Festival (2024). They’ve shared bills with the likes of Ben Howard, José González, Lucy Rose, Agnes Obel, and drawn comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Big Thief, Phoebe Bridgers and Bon Iver. Caroline co-produced Antipodes with Ric Wake (Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston), performed the majority of the instruments, and solo wrote the majority of the tracks. It also features collaborations with Zac Brown, Joe Bonamassa, Mac McAnally, & Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey. Caroline’s foot-stomping hits have led to performances on The Tonight Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, TODAY Show, & the Grand Ole Opry. Perhaps most impressive about Jones’ young career, though, is the list of mentors who have taken her under their wing including Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, Jake Owen, Trisha Yearwood, Jimmy Buffett & the Zac Brown Band. With roots from Boca Raton, FL Nashville artist Maggie Baugh started her music career by playing the fiddle on stage with Charlie Daniels when she was 13 years old. Baugh's social media presence is strong, with over 30 million views on her TikTok series “Finish The Lick”. She released her debut album "Dear Me" in October 2023 which gained over 500k streams in its first day. Baugh is a touring musician and has opened for other artists, including Home Free. She recently wrapped up her National Vinyl Store Tour with Taylor Guitars and was announced as part of Tidal's "Rising" Class for 2024. Baugh has new music set to release this year, including her latest single "24" releasing on January 12th.
